Hello there,

Not sure what the issue is here. We had to switch from Gyre to Tide as the
development machine, so this is my first time configuring MET on Tide.
Worked great on Gyre.

I had this problem before and you said to be sure that I am pointing to
Julie.Prestopnik's modulefiles. I am pretty sure I am doing so but maybe I
am pointing elsewhere in a certain .bashrc file somewhere. I thought I
checked all of those files.

Hi Perry. I'm sorry to see that you are experiencing problems running
MET
on tide. IBM was able to complete the install of MET on tide and
gyre.
So, give this a try in a fresh shell and see if it works for you:

   - module use /usrx/local/dev/modulefiles
   - module load met

Some users have experienced problems due to conflicting modules they
already have loaded, but unfortunately, we haven't been able to find
the
culprit. If you run into segfaults or other unexpected behavior, try
running "module purge" first, and then rerun the module commands
above.

Please try that out and let me know how it goes.

Julie

Hi, Julie,

Thanks! I'm sure that the issue is somewhere in one of my login files
-
I'm not entirely sure which ones that run on login. Maybe I should
try the
usrx modulefile?

Yes, please try using met-6.0 installed by IBM, by starting in a fresh
shell and running:

   - module use /usrx/local/dev/modulefiles
   - module load met

You may still encounter a problem. Some users have experienced
problems
due to conflicting modules they already have loaded, but
unfortunately, we
haven't been able to find the culprit. If you run into segfaults or
other
unexpected behavior, try running "module purge" first, and then rerun
the
module commands above.

Please try that out and let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

Julie
