Hi Bob. We were able to reproduce the error that you are getting.
Unfortunately, the config file string parser is writing a temp file in
the
current "runtime" directory. The error is from the fact that you
don't
have permission to write the file "config_19331_0_.temp" in the
current
directory. Running stat_analysis from a directory that you have
permission
to write to should resolve the problem. We plan to resolve this
problem in
the next MET release.

Julie, what are you calling the runtime directory? I have opened
every directory that could be involved to rwxrwxrwx and I am still
getting the error. How do I work around the problem?

Julie, I dug a little further and found out that when a another
process was writing an unrelated file to the working directory at the
same time that MET was writing the config*temp file to the same
directory, that is when MET would kick the error. I stopped that
other process and now MET is working as expected. Hope this helps
with your ultimate fix for this problem.
