[Met_help] [rt.rap.ucar.edu #52534] History for BUFRLIB Issue

We are running MET 3.0.1 on a Linux box.  When I run the pb2nc program, I get the following error:

Reading Config File:    /home/qcteam/METv3.0.1/data/config/PB2NCConfig_wrf
Creating NetCDF File:   /h/data/global/WXQC/data/obs_prep/2012011118
Processing PrepBufr File:       /h/data/global/WXQC/data/obs_prep/raw/gdas1.t18z.prepbufr.nr
Blocking PrepBufr file to:      /h/data/global/WXQC/data/obs_prep/tmp_pb2nc_blk_30856_0

***********BUFR ARCHIVE LIBRARY ABORT**************
BUFRLIB: OPENBF - ERROR READING INPUT FILE CONNECTED TO UNIT  11 WHEN CHECKING FOR 'BUFR' IN FIRST 4 BYTES OF RECORD
***********BUFR ARCHIVE LIBRARY ABORT**************

What might be causing the error?  If you need the prep bufr file, what is your server that I could place this file on?

This is a known error that occurs when running pb2nc on some systems.
