Initial Request

Dear MET-help team,
During the WRF workshop you announced the possibility of clouds
verification using MET and a gridded dataset of clouds observations. I
would like to verify WRF and GFS using this tool. Is it possible to do so?

MET currently can be used with World-Wide Merged Cloud Analysis
(WWMCA)
data. There is a WWMCA reformatter that can make wwmca files
readable by grid_stat, and also a WWMCA plotting tool. These are
in MET version 3.0
Right now, that is the extent of MET's cloud verification
capabilities.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the information.
Where do I find this dataset (WWMCA)?
