  Listening is considered to be one of the top skills for building
connection, leadership, and resolving conflict. Come learn about llistening and
practice your listening skills.

  Being a good listener is vital in life because it:

   - builds trust
   - reduces misunderstandings
   - helps to avoid conflict
   - encourages empathy
   - improves personal relationship

Adriana is a trainer and consultant with Beyond Inclusion, and she focuses
on communication, intercultural topics, diversity, leadership and emotional
intelligence. A published author, she has designed and led workshops for
higher education, not-for-profit, governmental, and corporate clients in
the United States, Saudi Arabia, India, Singapore, China, Myanmar, and
Canada (or all over the world, if the previous bit is too long, Dan). Adriana
is also a professor. She teaches topics on communication and social justice
at the University of Denver and Metropolitan State University of Denver. A
published author, she is a former Associate Professor of Intercultural
Communication and Spanish at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
