Indeed Jamie,
there are other problems and the pcmdi3 load problem is getting more
present. But AFAICT this affects mostly data nodes publishing at PCMDI,
as they don't have the possibility to go to pcmdi7, like others do.
BADC problem is a different one, which is affecting all data nodes with
heavy traffic. I thik in those cases you get a "connection reset"
message instead of the 403, which means the attribute service connection
is timing out, assume the user does have the group membership.
So you are right, there are many other causes that could arise, and my
percentages relate to what I see in the help-desk more than what
actually might be happening...
That's the problem when I try to simplify things :-)
