[Go-essp-tech] PCMDI Machines are back on-line

Hi Gavin,

Brilliant. Thanks.

I suspect most CMIP5 data users won't know what 'esgf' is. In which case
cmip5-announce (or somesuch) might be more meaningful. But I don't have
a strong opinion either way, so go with whichever you feel is best /
most appropriate!

Phil

	Hello Phil,

Thank you for the suggestion. I have taken your advice and set
up esgf-announce at lists.llnl.gov
It will be ready to take subscribers in about 8-12 hours from
this email's timestamp.

	To subscribe send email to:
	majordomo at lists.llnl.gov

	With the message body:
	subscribe esgf-announce

Then we will make sure we send out appropriate announcement
emails to inform our users.

Pardon the downtime, preventative maintenance had to be done.

Of course. It wasn't a problem.
