Hello Phil,

Thank you for the suggestion.  I have taken your advice and set up
esgf-announce at lists.llnl.gov
It will be ready to take subscribers in about 8-12 hours from this
email's timestamp.

To subscribe send email to:
majordomo at lists.llnl.gov

With the message body:
subscribe esgf-announce

Then we will make sure we send out appropriate announcement emails to
inform our users.

Pardon the downtime, preventative maintenance had to be done.
