I think I have to wait for a more complete version of that document to
give valuable input. But a few question/remarks here:

You speak of datasets and collections. Can you give an example for them?
Is a dataset a realm or an atomic dataset?

I would call the scientist who produced the data the DataOwner or maybe
the DOI author. The ESG data node manager would be the DataProvider. It
is not important as long as the definitions are part of the document.

How is the QC Entry Tool used? Can you give a rough input(-output) example?
Have I understood it correctly and is it agreed that the CIM metadata
documents will be provided in/via the ESG data node?

The metadata of the finished QC level 3 is more than quality, i.e. more
than a CIM quality document. Summary, contact and citations may be
changed by the author during STD-DOI publication.
