Dear Dean,

I think we have one or two more open questions which are related to the
publication of the requested data according to Karl's variables list. To
me it is not clear how the process of this secondary ESG data
publication by the CMIP5/AR5 core data archives will be organized. My
view is that after initial ESG data publication by the modeling centers
the three CMIP5 core data archives have to perform quality assurance of
NetCDF data and of CMIP5 metadata questionnaire output before the
requested data (Karl's list) are officially be released for the IPCC
process. My questions are, how this workflow will be organised and what
are the quality checks for ESG and DOI data publication? We have started
the discussion but did not complete it.

Will these aspects also be discussed at the telco next Tuesday or is the
telco focused on the initial ESG data publication process by modeling
centers?

Because of the METAFOR 2 years meeting in Paris next week at least Frank
and I are not able to participate. From Hamburg only Stephan Kindermann
will be able to participate.

Best wishes, Michael
