Convective is an early-stage weather modification startup hiring for a Head of Atmospheric Modeling ( https://ats.rippling.com/convective/jobs/014ace51-8aa6-4865-9ac5-e7c1c3b48c39 ).

We are pioneering weather modification systems to end droughts, suppress wildfires, build snowpack, and prevent climate disasters.

You will function as both lead architect and hands-on engineer, building NWP and AI modeling to guide our deployments. You will also get to build out and lead a small team of world-class data scientists, atmospheric scientists, and software engineer. Ideally, you have prior expertise in NWP, particularly WRF, and some experience working with or building AI/ML weather modeling emulators.

This will be a significant equity opportunity. We are based in the San Francisco Bay Area and work in-person most days, but for the right candidate the role could be remote.
