applications for postdoctoral scholar/research scientist positions to work
with Prof. Tiffany Shaw <https://geosci.uchicago.edu/people/tiffany-shaw/>
and Prof. Pedram Hassanzadeh

Geophysical Sciences, Faculty Directors of AICE) on advancing the
theoretical understanding and trustworthiness of AI climate/weather
emulators. The postdocs will closely collaborate with a multidisciplinary
team spanning climate science, statistics, and applied mathematics,
including Prof. Rebecca Willett <https://willett.psd.uchicago.edu/>
(Departments of Statistics and Computer Science, Director of AI+Science
Initiative), and will connect with the broader AI for climate and science
community at The University of Chicago and our industry partners. We are
broadly seeking candidates with a background in climate dynamics who are
generally interested in applying AI methods to outstanding problems in
climate science.
