Sorry for cross-postings.
Come and join the great FLORES <https://www.eosystm.uliege.be/cms/c_13562414/en/flores> project. We are looking for a motivated student that likes to combine biology and physics, i.e. combining biochemical modelling at the leaf level with physical modelling at the canopy scale to study the relation between photosynthesis and sun-induced chlorophyll fluorescence (SIF) of forests. All quantitative analyses will use mechanistic modelling with MuSICA <https://ecofun.ispa.bordeaux.inrae.fr/index.php/musica-model/>, so strong computer skills and an aptitude for physics will be required. As the project uses model-data fusion, active participation in two measurement campaigns will be essential.
Shorter (PhD_SIF_en.pdf <https://www.macu.de/extra/PhD_SIF_en.pdf>) and longer (PhD_SIF_long_en.pdf <https://www.macu.de/extra/PhD_SIF_long_en.pdf>) information can be found at the links.
Do not hesitate to contact me for further information.
Kind regards,
Matthias
