Dear Colleagues and Students,

I am looking for a highly motivated PhD student to nominate for the prestigious Graduate Fellows in Coastal and Environmental Resilience (GECER) fellowship Program to join my research group at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
As the sponsoring faculty mentor, I will work closely with the selected candidate to develop a competitive nomination package. The successful applicant will conduct their doctoral research under my supervision, focusing on atmospheric pollution in coastal areas.
This is a competitive selection process. Interested students must contact me with their CV and Statement of Research Interest by April 10.

This prestigious fellowship supports exceptional, newly admitted doctoral students conducting research in coastal and environmental resilience. The fellowship is designed to recruit high-caliber doctoral students whose research strengthens TAMU-CC’s doctoral productivity, interdisciplinary research capacity, and long-term research competitiveness in resilience-related fields.
IMPORTANT: This fellowship is available exclusively to newly admitted doctoral students entering Fall 2026. Current and already committed TAMU-CC graduate students are not eligible. The fellowship will support subsequent years, provided the student shows appropriate progress towards graduation.

  * Fringe benefits of $4,500 (including health insurance)
  *   Full tuition & fees ($11,500)
  *   12-month duration at 50% FTE

    Applicants will compete for awards based on the merit of their application, research fit, and potential to strengthen interdisciplinary research at TAMU-CC in the field of coastal and environmental resilience.
    Research Focus: Selected students will investigate sources, impacts, and mitigation strategies for atmospheric pollution in coastal cities, contributing to our understanding of environmental resilience in dynamic coastal systems.
