The Agricultural System Monitoring and Modeling Group at the University of Hong Kong is seeking 1–2 postdoctoral researchers to join our team in the areas of agricultural system monitoring and modeling.
Preferred Expertise:
We prioritize candidates with experience in process-based modeling, geospatial big data analytics, and/or deep learning, especially as applied to soil ecosystem processes. A strong understanding of soil biogeochemistry, soil-plant interactions, and ecosystem modeling is highly desirable.
Essential Qualifications:

  *   A strong quantitative background with a graduate degree in earth and atmospheric sciences, remote sensing, environmental science, or a closely related field.
  *   Proficiency in programming (e.g., Python, Fortran, or C++ in a Linux environment).
  *   Extensive experience and in-depth understanding of process-based modeling.
  *   Significant experience in geospatial big-data analytics.
  *   Familiarity with machine learning methods.
