Postdoctoral position

A qualified candidate will join Prof. Siyao YUE’s research group to develop analytical techniques based on high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) for offline and/or online characterization of bioaerosols, and to apply these methods to investigate the atmospheric chemistry and environmental impacts of bioaerosols.

About the position:
Salary: depends on specific programs. Relevant policies and salary details can be found on the NJU Human Resources Office website. The position can be supported by my own funding, other programs from the institute, the university, provincial, or national funding schemes/scholarships. 
Period: 2 to 3 years; potential to extend.
Location: Suzhou, Jiangsu, China (map). It takes around 30 minutes to get to Shanghai by high-speed train. 

Requirements:
Expertise in molecular characterization using high-resolution mass spectrometry (e.g., Orbitrap, TOF) is required. Experience with spectroscopic instruments, other advanced analytical techniques, or general aerosol instrumentation is highly desirable. Background in applying analytical chemistry to characterize complex environmental mixtures—such as organic aerosols, dissolved organic matter, soil organic matter, or biological matrices—is also an advantage.
A Ph.D degree or going to obtain it before starting the postdoc
strong publication record with ≥ 1 publication
1 or 2 reference letter(s) (can be provided later after the interview, if asked for)
Additional requirements include programming, good oral and written communications, interpersonal skills, initiative, and creative and innovative thinking.
