I'm reaching out because we have open postdoctoral positions for emerging scholars who would like to apprentice into Data Science Education research. We seek applicants from both data science/stats/computing-focused and/or education-focused backgrounds. This would include computing- or data-science-focused Earth Science PhDs.
The postdoc will involve rotating apprenticeships with Berkeley faculty who run multiple data science education projects across different levels (precollege, intro uni, and workshops for non-specialists) and units (the College of Computing, Data Science, and Society; the School of Ed; and the Social Sciences D-Lab). They will also have structured support to learn more about data science education tools, curricula, and research. Please share with anyone you know who may be interested!
For full disclosure this is an NSF-funded project, and we recognize it is an uncertain time. The full listing including qualifications and application requirements can be accessed here: https://aprecruit.berkeley.edu/JPF04692
