*Air Monitoring Analyst position with TD Enviro*
Location: San Francisco Bay Area, California
*Position*
We’re seeking a full-time employee that lives in the San Francisco Bay Area
to work on a variety of air quality projects involving 1) work with
different organizations to deploy and maintain air monitoring programs and
provide training on air quality concepts, 2) analyzing air quality data
collected by air monitors to assess quality and develop insights, and 3)
developing methods to manage and visualize air quality data using software
(R or Python). You’ll be at the forefront of enabling community groups and
other organizations to use data and new technologies to understand and
improve local air quality. This position will work on projects remotely (at
home) with community-based groups, government agencies, and the private
sector throughout the U.S. and other countries.
*Responsibilities*
- Work in the field with environmental measurement equipment, including
deploying, troubleshooting, and fixing technical equipment (air monitor
experience preferred).
- Manage data, conduct data analysis, and interpret data. Draw insights
from data and create visualizations to communicate data for non-expert
audiences.
- Work with community-based organizations to translate complex ideas to
diverse audiences with sensitivity and thoughtfulness.
- Communicate with a variety of partners, such as federal and local
governments, industry representatives, and community-based organizations.
- Conduct trainings and presentations to diverse groups of clients and
stakeholders.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously with excellent time management
skills.
- Travel locally in the San Francisco Bay Area to perform a variety of
tasks.
*Desired Qualifications*
- A bachelor’s degree in natural sciences, data science, or a related
technical degree.
- 2-4 years of experience working in an environmental or science field
collecting, analyzing, or interpreting environmental data.
- Experience using common data processing programming languages, such as
R and Python.
- Background knowledge of air quality and pollution.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- A strong interest in working with a broad range of organizations on
air quality and environmental science issues.
- Highly motivated, consistent, self-starter, with superb
problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in another language – preferably Spanish.
- Ability to work with teams in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented
environment.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google
Suite.
- Ability to travel domestically and possibly internationally. Access to
a vehicle for job-related travel in the San Francisco Bay area.

Compensation will depend on the qualifications and experience of the
selected candidate.
