The Computational Climate Change Laboratory in the University of Connecticut Department of Earth Sciences is seeking a Postdoctoral Scientist to work on a NSF-funded project on reducing climate model uncertainty with proxy data from Cenozoic warm intervals. The successful candidate will join a team of scientists from multiple U.S. institutions to identify model parameter space that allows successful simulations of Cenozoic warm intervals and present-day.

The candidate will take a lead role in developing perturbed parameter ensemble simulations and statistical models to sample model parameter space and compare simulations with proxy records. The successful candidate will have prior experience in setting up user-defined simulations with a complex model on a high performance computing cluster, and background knowledge on Cenozoic climate and model development. The candidate should be able to work independently or as part of a research team, and should have a strong commitment to mentoring graduate and undergraduate students in the lab.

More information on the laboratory and Department of Earth Sciences can be found at C3 Lab<https://climatechangelab.earthsciences.uconn.edu/> and www.earth.uconn.edu<http://www.earth.uconn.edu>.
