*
- This position will primarily use python and meteorological knowledge to build weather products for the center and state. An MS (or greater) degree is required in a meteorological field. This is a 65K/10 month position with potential to earn an additional ~13K over the remaining 2 months.
3.
4.
Operational Meteorologist: https://albany.interviewexchange.com/jobofferdetails.jsp?JOBID=184816
*
- This position will work with a team of other meteorologists to create weather briefings and do other similar tasks. A BA/BS degree is required in a meteorological field. This is a 55K salary.
Our center is funded by the state of NY to assist the state's emergency management weather needs, and to assist with a wide variety of other weather tasks including reporting, training exercises, weather communication, product development, and much more. These three will join a great team of 7 existing employees. We are located at the University at Albany in the SUNY system, and these positions will receive the same excellent benefits as general UAlbany employees. All positions are considered permanent after an initial probationary period.
