The Department of Environmental Science<https://earth.rowan.edu/departments/Environmental%20Science/> at Rowan University<https://www.rowan.edu/> is seeking an Adjunct Instructor for the Fall 2025 Semester (beginning 2 September 2025) for the course, "Renewable Energy in the Northeast (EVSC 01325).

Course Description:
Climate change is the defining environmental problem of the 21st century. The effort to combat this threat has driven a surge in interest, technology development, and investment in renewable energy globally. The northeastern United States is a regional leader in renewable energy because of investment driven by the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI). Students in this course will gain a comprehensive understanding of renewable energy using the northeastern United States as a case study. This course will examine principles and technology behind a variety of renewable energy sources, including wind, solar, hydro, biomass, and geothermal. A strong emphasis will be placed on environmental impacts associated with developing and operating renewable sources of energy.

Modality: In-person
Meeting location: Rowan University, Glassboro campus
Meeting times: Monday, Wednesday: 5:00 - 6:15 pm
Fall Semester Duration: September 2, 2025 to December 18, 2025

Qualifications:
 The candidate must have a Master's degree in Environmental Science or a related field. Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.
