*Job Description*
Binghamton University's Environmental Studies Program invites applications
for an Associate Professor in environmental studies / science to take
research and community leadership roles within our vibrant and growing
unit. We welcome applications from productive researchers who seek to
understand and address the sustainability challenges of today and whose
work speaks to interactions of people with their environment. Our new
colleague can come from any related discipline including the natural,
social, or political sciences or humanities. The successful candidate will
have a strong research record with a demonstrated
ability to obtain external funding in their area of research. We seek a
teacher/scholar to instruct students about the challenges at the
human-nature interface using experiential learning
and/or community-engaged/applied approaches.

The teaching load for this position is two courses per semester.

*Requirements*
• Ph.D. required
• Candidates must have a strong research record, as demonstrated by a
history of peer- reviewed publications, and a demonstrated potential for
seeking external research funds.
• Preference is given to an individual who has a history of working on
interdisciplinary and collaborative projects.
