The Xu Research Group (https://sites.google.com/view/luxu-atmospheric-chemistry/home) in the Department of Energy, Environmental, and Chemical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Researcher. The research will focus on the heterogeneous chemistry of wildfire emissions in the stratosphere, utilizing laboratory flow tube experiment and chemical ionization mass spectrometry.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply:

  1.  Heterogeneous aerosol chemistry
  2.  Flow tube experimental techniques
  3.  Chemical ionization mass spectrometry (CIMS)
  4.  Stratospheric chemistry
  5.  Wildfire emissions and related chemical processes
  6.  Strong motivation and willingness to learn

Position Details:

  *   The initial appointment is for one year, with the expectation of annual renewal for at least two additional years, contingent on satisfactory performance.
  *   Review of applications begins immediately, and the position will remain open until filled.
