Hello,
The Transformation Network, a National Science Foundation Cooperative Agreement, is seeking 1-2 Post-doctoral Fellows.
Please find details on our website: https://transformimw.unm.edu/post-doctoral-fellow/
We are currently looking for Post-Doctoral Fellows in the following research areas:
* Convergent Curricula and Community Science: Our teams have a number of curricula that engage systems thinking and employ environmental justice frameworks, demonstrating multiple ways of knowing, co-instructing courses in community partnership with local industry experts. We are looking for a post-doc with expertise in this field who can coordinate and synthesize across this work to: (1) strengthen efficacy of existing curricula; (2) lead efforts to synergize this and publicize this work in various forms; and (3) help formulate new community science efforts in the field.
* Food Sovereignty and Regenerative Agriculture: There are several teams that are deeply intertwined on regenerative agriculture, global supply chains, and food sovereignty. We are looking for a post-doctoral fellow to synergize work occurring through the TN in the in food-energy-water contexts across scales, including market connectivity and potential, risk assessments, regenerative agriculture innovations and leverage research opportunities on the UNM main campus with the Sustainability Studies Program and its TN affiliated activities.
* Sustainability Science and Transitions Research: The TN has a theoretical framework of Guided Transformations that both a conceptual and participatory approach that translates new knowledge into action by incorporating diverse perspectives and values that prioritize community and environmental well-being. It refers to a deliberate and planned process of transitioning from an undesirable system state or trajectory (often the current system state or status quo) to a more preferred system state, taking into account the complex and interrelated social, ecological, and technological systems that underpin these transformations. We are looking for a post-doctoral fellow with a background in resilience theory interested in working with our teams to advancing our development of this framework and relevant case studies, including, but not limited to, further integration of systems dynamics modeling into this framework.
