Dear all,

I am looking for a postdoc to work on aerosol sources and composition, please see below (and attached pdf file). I'd very much appreciate it if you could forward this to any potential candidates whom might be interested and a good fit.

Thanks,
Sally

Postdoctoral Position at Georgia Tech

A postdoctoral position is available in the Ng group (http://ng.chbe.gatech.edu/) at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The successful candidate will analyze a comprehensive suite of measurements conducted in urban Atlanta in the last decade and conduct new ambient field measurements to investigate the source, processes, and fates of aerosols in urban and rural environments. Combined with advanced mass spectrometers and aerosol instrumentation, the candidate will also work on investigation of the performance of low-cost sensors under different environments (at 12 ASCENT<https://ascent.research.gatech.edu/> sites, with different sources and properties of aerosols), as well as advancing the capability of low-cost sensors for source apportionment analyses. In addition to the specific research focus, there is opportunity to participate in other research efforts in the group and work with the large group of students, postdocs, and faculty in atmospheric/aerosol chemistry at Georgia Tech.

ASCENT (Atmospheric Science and Chemistry mEasurement NeTwork) is a new comprehensive, high-time-resolution, long-term measurement network in the U.S. for the characterization of aerosol chemical composition and physical properties.

Applicants should hold a Ph. D. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Atmospheric Sciences, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences/Engineering, or a related field. Knowledge and experience in operating advanced mass spectrometers (e.g., AMS, ACSM, Vocus, etc.) and programming and analyzing large datasets are preferred. Women and minority candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

The initial appointment will be for one year, with the expectation of renewal for at least one year.

To apply, please email a cover letter describing your research interests, a CV, and a list of three references to Prof. Nga Lee (Sally) Ng (ng at chbe.gatech.edu<mailto:ng at chbe.gatech.edu>). Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
