Dear All,

The Environmental Biotechnology Lab at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) is looking for self-motivated and talented graduate students in MS program (Ocean, Coastal, and Earth Sciences; OCES or Agricultural, Environmental, and Sustainability Sciences; AESS) to join us for Spring 2024 or Fall 2024.

Prospective students will have the opportunity to do coastal fieldwork to collect the water and sediment samples and have a chance to get skills to understand microbial responses to environmental change and monitor water quality (especially, microbial contaminants) using molecular techniques such as PCR, RT-PCR, bioinformatics, etc.

If you are interested in these kinds of research, please e-mail me (myung.hwangbo at utrgv.edu<mailto:myung.hwangbo at utrgv.edu>) with your resume, with a subject line as “M.S. applicant_name”.

Thank you,

Myung
