Prospective students will have the opportunity to do coastal fieldwork to collect the water and sediment samples and have a chance to get skills to understand microbial responses to environmental change and monitor water quality (especially, microbial contaminants)
using molecular techniques such as PCR, RT-PCR, bioinformatics, etc. </p>
