The Sanchez Group <https://www.saracsanchez.com/> in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences<https://www.colorado.edu/atoc/> at the University of Colorado Boulder<https://www.colorado.edu/> is recruiting PhD students to begin in the Fall 2024. Our lab is particularly looking for applicants interested in studying variations in the hydrological cycle with climate change. This project will look at the interplay between forced and internal variability in the tropics using some diverse data sources- climate models, instrumental observations, and paleoclimate proxies.  Applicants should have an undergraduate degree in a related field, experience with coding (Python or Matlab preferred), good scientific writing skills, and passion for the atmospheric and oceanic sciences.


ATOC graduate students are offered competitive stipends, health insurance, public transportation passes, and fully paid tuition.
