Hello everyone!

My lab is looking to recruit a graduate student (MS or PhD) to a project applying deep learning to the taxonomic analysis of dispersed leaf cuticle. Funded by an American Chemical Society - Petroleum Research Fund New Directions grant, the project is in collaboration with Rich Barclay (Smithsonian, Natural History), Shu Kong (Texas A&M, Computer Science), Carlos Jaramillo (Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute), and Hermann Behling (University of Göttingen).

Applicants should have undergraduate or graduate experience in laboratory or museum research and Python programming. Students with a strong background in statistics/probability and/or plant systematics are encouraged to apply.
