hydrologic modeling and application tools to improve hydrologic forecasting
and impact assessment under climate change. Students can work on many
different aspects of hydrologic sciences, including but not limited to
uncertainty quantification, spatial discretization, parameter estimation,
streamflow forecasting, and climate change impact assessment. The specific
research focus will be tailored to suit the candidate’s skills and career
interests.

Desired qualifications: Students have a recent Master degree in hydrology,
civil engineering, earth science, or a closely related field. Students with
a background in hydrologic modeling, machine learning, software
development, or high-performance computing are encouraged to apply.

Study environment: The University of Alberta is a Top 5 Canadian university
