Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking a strategic and visionary leader for the Computational Physics & Methods Group (CCS-2). CCS-2 performs research and development in computational physics for scientific, industrial, and national security applications. CCS-2 develops computational methods and algorithms to model physical phenomena, often in a production code setting, to answer questions of LANL mission and national security relevance and fundamental scientific discovery in areas such as astrophysics, radiation transport, turbulence, climate science, energy, manufacturing, and other areas. Leading at the intersection of machine learning, advanced computing hardware, and physical modeling, CCS-2 is ever improving the fidelity and time-to-solution of large multiscale and multiphysics systems.



The CCS-2 Group Leader is a member of the Computer, Computational, and Statistical Sciences Division leadership team and is responsible for technical leadership and management of the Computational Physics & Methods Group.
