The Aquatic Ecosystem Stoichiometry lab at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (https://ecostoich.weebly.com/) is hiring a research technician / lab manager! You would be responsible for a variety of day-to-day tasks of running an aquatic ecology and ecosystem science laboratory and involved with exciting research projects funded by the National Science Foundation, US Geological Survey, and Nebraska Environmental Trust. The position includes water chemistry analysis, field research, data management, and training and supervising undergraduate students and/or hourly employees. Laboratory analyses include benchtop techniques (e.g., colorimetric measurements, fluorometric analysis) and auto-analysis (e.g., automated flow-thru systems for nutrients, ions, dissolved organic carbon). Field research may include sampling lakes or rivers in inclement weather and overnight stays. Given collaborative nature of ecological studies and supervisory activities, the abilities to work on a team, support an inclusive culture, and communicate well are essential.

Questions about the position should be directed to Jessica Corman, jcorman3 at unl.edu. Appy through the website https://employment.unl.edu/postings/84423 by Monday, March 13th.
