We invite you to apply for a 3-year postdoctoral position in large-eddy simulation of aerosol-cloud interactions. Within the scope of marine cloud brightening for solar radiation management, you will be free to set your own scientific emphasis. One possible research direction includes perturbed-parameter ensembles.
We are looking for a curiosity-driven candidate who enjoys atmospheric modeling and lively scientific discussions. To be considered, you must have, or be close to obtaining, a PhD or comparable research experience. As a suitable candidate you either have experience in atmospheric modeling or in data analysis of complex atmospheric model output. A background in aerosol-cloud interactions, aerosol or cloud microphysics, or stratocumulus dynamics will be helpful but is not required.
Delft is located within 20 minutes by public transport from The Hague and Rotterdam, and within 1 hour from Amsterdam.
