Assistant Professor, Climate Science, Yale University
The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Yale University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor appointment in the broad area of climate science, with an anticipated start date of July 2023 or later. Relevant fields include (but are not limited to) the physics of the Earth’s atmosphere, ocean, and cryosphere; climate change; paleoclimate; and the dynamics of planetary and exoplanetary atmospheres and oceans.
We seek candidates who will develop outstanding research programs, who have strong prospects for exceptional scholarly impact and teaching excellence, and who will enhance the existing strengths of the Department and University. The successful applicant will develop and implement an independent, externally-funded research program, teach and advise students, and facilitate interdisciplinary research.
