A postdoctoral research position in the area of Arctic chemistry is
available in the Pratt Lab at the University of Michigan (
http://prattlab.chem.lsa.umich.edu/). The project focuses on the chemical
analysis and interpretation of atmospheric particle, cloud, and snow
samples, collected during the 2022 CHACHA (CHemistry in the Arctic: Clouds,
Halogens, and Aerosols) airborne field campaign based out of Utqiaġvik,
Alaska. The candidate should have experience using inductively coupled
plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), with additional experience in
chromatography preferred. The project includes analytical method
development and collaboration with other research groups and institutions.



Qualifications: Candidates must have a PhD (by appointment start date) in
Earth Science, Chemistry, Atmospheric Science, or a related science or
engineering field. Strong written and oral communication skills and the
ability to work as part of a team are necessary.



The initial appointment is for one year, with renewal based on funding and
performance.
