We seek a postdoctoral researcher to lead an effort to measure N2O
emissions from headwater streams and ditches in agricultural watersheds in
the Upper Midwest. This research effort will include developing an approach
for deploying a portable infrared N2O gas analyzer from a floating chamber
platform currently under development in our lab. N2O measurements will be
combined with additional water quality measurements as well as spatial
datasets of watershed characteristics and land use.

The Soil and Water Management Research Unit is co-located with the
University of Minnesota Department of Soil, Water, and Climate in St. Paul,
MN. The postdoctoral researcher will have the opportunity to work with both
USDA and UMN scientists in addition to having opportunities to collaborate
