Three Faculty Positions in Geology

The Geology Department at the University of Chile in Santiago, Chile
invites applications for three tenure-track faculty positions in the areas
of igneous/metamorphic petrology, structural geology/tectonics and
geotechnics/geohazards. We encourage candidates whose research integrates
field-based studies with analytical, experimental and/or numerical modeling
techniques.

The successful candidates are expected to develop a vigorous,
externally-funded research program in close connection with research groups

in service to the department, university, and the broader scientific
community.

The Department of Geology at the University of Chile (www.geologia.uchile.cl)

also hosts a fluid/melt inclusions laboratory, and tectonics and
sedimentology laboratories. Geology research at the University of Chile has
been ranked consistently among the World's 100 best programs, according to
QS World Universities Rankings by Subject. The Department of Geology is
located in the Engineering and Science Faculty (FCFM) campus in downtown
