We have funding available to support a graduate student (MS or PhD) to work on a USDA-funded project examining the effects of winter climate warming on the dynamics of forage crop and weed growth. The student will be supported on a combination of TA and RA appointments which provide tuition waivers, stipends, and health insurance.
Requirements. Candidates must hold a BS or MS degree in ecology, agronomy, or environmental sciences and have experience conducting research. Candidates must have strong interest in quantitative methods including experimental design and statistics and an ability to work in a collaborative environment. Excellent work ethic and proficiency in English language (written and oral) are required. Apart from excellent academic and team skills, the position requires a valid driving license, the disposition to collaborate in physical work, and working in outdoor conditions. Lifting of up to 30 lbs. may be required.
