The Department of Geosciences<https://geosc.psu.edu/> at The Pennsylvania State University<https://psu.edu/> (University Park, PA) is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar to conduct research in the area of carbonate geochemistry in collaboration with Assistant Professor Kimberly Lau (start date on or after Sept. 1). The postdoc will join a funded, collaborative NASA project titled “Experimental Constraints on dolomite geochemistry as an archive of seawater redox evolution.”
A successful candidate will have experience in the areas of carbonate sedimentology and geochemistry, carbonate precipitation experiments, and/or carbonate geochemical analyses. The postdoc will have the opportunity to participate in the Geosciences Department, the Earth and Environmental Systems Institute (eesi.psu.edu<http://eesi.psu.edu/>) and/or the Astrobiology Research Center (astrobiology.psu.edu<http://astrobiology.psu.edu/>).
