Executive Director of CUAHSI

Looking for a way to positively impact the water research community? Interested in leading a dynamic, community-serving organization? The Consortium of Universities for the Advancement of Hydrologic Science, Inc. (CUAHSI) is seeking a new Executive Director with the vision and management skills to lead the consortium in its important role of advancing water science through community efforts such as: developing, supporting, and operating research infrastructure; improving access to data, information and models; articulating priorities for community-level water-related research and observations; facilitating interactions among the diverse water research community; promoting interdisciplinary education centered in water science; and translating scientific advancements into effective tools for water management and policy. The Executive Director also serves as President (Chief Executive Officer) of the Corporation and reports to the Board of Directors.

CUAHSI is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization representing more than 100 U.S. colleges, universities, and international water science institutions. CUAHSI is primarily supported through cooperative agreements with the National Science Foundation (NSF), but has developed a broader portfolio of funded initiatives with other federal agencies, member institutions, and donor organizations. CUAHSI has an extensive portfolio of education and outreach programs, as well as leading the development of hydroinformatics tools such as http://www.hydroshare.org. CUAHSI has a staff of 15, including administrative personnel, with an annual budget of approximately $4.0 M.
