Position Overview:

Arup's risk and resilience group has worked with several companies in the Fortune 50, international development multi-laterals such as the Asian Development Bank, prestigious universities such as Stanford and the University of British Columbia, as well as major U.S. cities, such as San Francisco and Honolulu.

Responsibilities of this specific role will include, but not be limited to the following:

Undertake qualitative and quantitative risk assessments for multiple hazards including earthquakes, flood, sea level rise, wind, and climate change.

  *
Develop mitigation, adaptation, and resilience strategies for building and infrastructure projects and portfolios, corporations/institutions, and cities/communities.

Competitive applicants will have:

  *
A passion and enthusiasm for risk and resilience
  *
Experience with probabilistic risk assessment
  *
Proficient programming skills in Python (pandas, numpy, matplotlib), R, or a similar open-source language.
