We are seeking to fill two positions to work on climate-related projects at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.

Senior Program Officer
The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine seeks a Senior Program Officer to serve as staff director of the Roundtable on Macroeconomics and Climate-related Risks and Opportunities. The newly established roundtable is a joint project of the Board on Atmospheric Sciences and Climate (BASC), Board on Science, Technology, and Economic Policy (STEP), and Board on Environmental Change and Society (BECS). The job's primary focus is leading the roundtable on macroeconomics and climate, designed to discuss challenges associated with incorporating climate change risks and opportunities into macroeconomic models.

Program Officer
The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine make a difference every day by providing independent, objective advice to the nation and the world. We are seeking a Program Officer to join the Board on Atmospheric Sciences and Climate (BASC). This team conducts projects on a wide range of topics including: climate change and impacts, atmospheric science priorities and research infrastructure, weather research and services, climate and weather communication, climate responses, and polar science and policy.
