Dear Colleagues,
If you or your teammates are interested in multidisciplinary cross-training in a genes-to-ecosystems (and back again!) framework, consider the EMERGE Institute Summer Program in 2022, flyer attached.
The program is open to all scientists with a BS and above, and spans the foundational concepts of many of the disciplines (from molecular biology to remote sensing) that intersect in holistic ecosystem characterization, as well as the essential training to work successfully in complex scientific teams.
Supported by the National Science Foundation, participation is covered for US citizens and permanent residents, with 2 intensive weeks (1 in-person in New Hampshire, 1 virtual) and ongoing training virtually over the following year.
This unique and powerful opportunity aims to teach you what you need to work collaboratively on understanding environmental feedbacks on a changing planet - a knowledge gap humanity needs scientists to bridge for mitigation of, and adaptation to, climate change.
Please see attached flyer for more details and how to apply. If you have questions, contact Heather Ingram at hci at email.arizona.edu.
Cheers,
Sophie
