The NE CASC is hiring an Climate Adaptation Science Center Intern. This position is being recruited across the level of senior undergraduate, recent graduate, or graduate student levels. Appointments will be considered at 20-40 hrs/week with a flexible schedule, for up to two years, depending on performance and availability of funds.
The student will provide technical, communication, and administrative support to the Northeast Climate Adaptation Science Center. The student will be responsible for: 1) providing logistical support for Center operations, 2) developing summaries, reports, and presentations, 3) supporting stakeholder analysis and engagement science for priority issues, 4) synthesizing the best available climate science from NE CASC projects and partner sources, 5) conducting searches for peer-reviewed information on climate impacts and adaptation. This is an excellent opportunity for students to: develop a strong understanding of the roles and responsibilities of federal agencies, best practices in climate communication, and a firm understanding of climate science-natural resource management opportunities and challenges.

Requirements: Students must be at least 18 years of age, enrolled in an undergraduate (with a minimum of 2 years of undergraduate education) or graduate degree program (Wildlife, Biology, Ecology, Geology, Natural Resource Science and Management, or related field). Experience with literature review, synthesis, science communication, and professional communication is essential. Students must also have access to a computer (not provided). Recent graduates (less than one year) may also apply.
