[ES_JOBS_NET] NAGT Early Career Workshop

The NAGT Early Career Geosciences Faculty Workshop will take place June
25-29, 2023 at Macalester College, Saint Paul, MN, with an optional virtual
visit to NSF July 10-11, 2023.

If you are in your first three years of a permanent academic position,
please apply to join us for this multi-day workshop in a stimulating and
resource-rich environment where you will participate in sessions on topics
including effective teaching strategies, course design, establishing a
research program in a new setting, working with research students,
balancing professional and personal responsibilities, and time management.

The registration fee of $1200 will cover the workshop, accommodations, and
most meals. Participants will pay for some meals, and participants or their
home institutions must provide transportation to and from the workshop. In
cases where the cost of attending this workshop would cause financial
hardship, stipends of up to $1600 are available to US citizens or permanent
residents to help defray these costs. Ask your department or university for
funds to attend as well – many have been quite supportive.

Our National Science Foundation grant provides funding for the remainder of
the operational costs of the workshop. To be supported by these funds, a
participant must be either a US citizen, a permanent resident, or in the
employ of a US institution. If you don't meet these requirements and are
interested in participating in this workshop at your own expense, please
indicate this on the application form.
