We are recruiting two fully funded PhD students in atmospheric chemistry modeling in the Department of Environmental Science at Baylor University. Baylor is a R1 research institution, and ranked #75 in National Universities.

Successful candidates will use atmospheric modeling tools across different temporal and spatial scales to better understand atmospheric chemistry and air quality-climate interactions. Specific projects include urban air quality, trace gas-aerosol-cloud interactions, extreme events (e.g., wildfire and dust) under a changing climate, and trends in greenhouse gas emissions and air quality co-benefits. Research involves extensive collaborations within and beyond the university.

PhD position:
• Applicants should have a MS degree in atmospheric sciences, chemistry, physics, or a related field, and are interested in atmospheric modeling.
• A strong background in math, chemistry, physics and/or programming is preferred. We particularly value applicants with a robust track record of scientific research.
• Funding is guaranteed for PhD students through fellowship and/or research and teaching assistantships.
Please contact Dr. Yang Li (yang_li3 at baylor.edu) by emailing a resume or curriculum vitae (CV), contact information for two references, unofficial transcripts, and a one-paragraph brief statement of research interests. For full consideration, please email the above materials by May 8. The position will be open until filled.
