Climate Science Graduate Student Opportunities

The Climate Science program in the Department of Plants, Soils, and Climate at Utah State University (http://www.usu.edu/degrees/index.cfm?id=56) seeks motivated Master students (fully funded) to study seasonal prediction of droughts in the western United States. The project will include statistical analyses of seasonal prediction outputs (e.g., North American Multi-Model Ensemble-NMME). Students who have a strong passion and interest in seasonal prediction and climate data analysis should contact Dr. Wei Zhang (w.zhang at usu.edu<mailto:w.zhang at usu.edu>) and include the following material:

1) A short description about your research interests
2) Resume
3) Unofficial transcripts

An initial evaluation will start immediately, and the position will remain open until filled.

Candidates must have a degree in atmospheric or climate-related science, physical geography, hydrology, mathematics, physics, or statistics. Individuals with good knowledge of computer programming are strongly encouraged to apply.

Utah State University's main campus is located in the city of Logan in northern Utah's Cache Valley, 80 miles north of Salt Lake City.
