*Postdoctoral Fellow Position in Climate Change Science at ICCP*

There is an opening for a postdoctoral fellow at the IBS Center for
Climate Physics, Pusan National University, to work with Dr. Christian
Franzke on the dynamical response of the atmosphere to global warming,
modeling of extreme weather and climate events and how they will change
in a warmer world. The successful candidate will carry out and analyze
climate model simulations, analyze data sets using modern statistical
and machine learning methods. In particular, we will develop a framework
for examining the moist energy budget. This research will provide new
insights of how global warming affects storms, atmospheric circulation
systems and extreme events.

to advancing the understanding of natural climate variability, man-made
climate change and their impacts on the hydrological cycle, regional
processes, ice-sheets, and sea level. The ICCP is generously funded
through the Institute for Basic Science (IBS) (_http://ibs.re.kr_
<http://ibs.re.kr/>). ICCP is located in Busan, the second largest city
in South Korea and the ninth largest port city in the world. Surrounded
