Dear colleagues,
We are looking for candidates for *a postdoc position* in modeling and
analysis of water-food-energy nexus toward decarbonization at the Research
Institute for Humanity and Nature, Kyoto Japan.
The researcher collects and analyzes the economic, social, and
environmental data which are related to carbon neutrality, as one of the
members of the research project “Development of Methodology for regional
Nexus towards Decarbonization(PI:Prof. Makoto Taniguchi)” with his/her
background of environmental studies, economics, engineering, agriculture,
political science, informatics, and others. The researcher is also expected
to evaluate the synergy and tradeoff among resources, such as energy,
water, food, land, labor in Kyoto as a case study with other team members.
The researcher also supports the other themes of the project, such as
visualization of the potential carbon neutrality, development of the nexus
model, behavior change, and best-mixed policy for carbon neutrality.

Requirements:
1) Ph.D. or equivalent knowledge, and the ability to conduct original
research in collaboration with other project members are required.
2) Experiences of input-output analysis, environmental impact analysis,
life cycle assessment, or footprint analysis are required, in the research
areas of environment, economics, engineering, agriculture, political
science, informatics, and others.
3) Keen interests in the visualization of global environmental issues and
questionnaire surveys are preferable.
4) Ability to make a discussion, make presentations, write academic papers,
and collaborate with overseas colleagues in English is a must
