The Engineering Research Visioning Alliance (ERVA) seeks a charismatic,
inspirational, and persuasive relationship builder to be its inaugural
Executive Director. This role is an exceptional opportunity to lead a
nationwide effort with the backing of the government, private sector, and
academic leaders, all highly incentivized to ensure the success of the
Executive Director.

ERVA, launched in April 2021, is a neutral convener that helps to identify
and develop bold and transformative new engineering research directions,
directly supporting the nation’s ability to compete in a rapidly changing
global economy. Funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) Directorate
for Engineering, ERVA is a diverse, inclusive and engaged partnership that
enables an array of voices to impact national research priorities. ERVA’s
mission is to identify and develop bold and transformative new engineering
research directions and catalyze the engineering community's pursuit of
innovative, high-impact research that benefits society.

The ERVA Executive Director will be an exceptional leader with the drive
and experience to carry out the mission of the organization. The ideal
candidate will have experience developing strategic relationships with
partners, and a demonstrated ability to collaborate and build consensus in
groups with multiple perspectives. Experience leading and managing a team
to successful accomplishments in an engineering or science related field, a
history of success working with a volunteer organization and the ability to
cultivate committee member relationships, roles, and responsibilities will
be critical the success of this role.A Ph.D., or equivalent experience,
preferably in an engineering or science field, and 5+ years of relevant
research/professional business experience is required.
